‘He had to eat a huge loss’: Supervisor belittles an assembly line worker for proof-reading orders, ends up taking a 5x loss of product when his own mistake goes unchecked

Nobody wants to work on a cursed group project. Likely, you've experienced this sort of project in grade school where you were forced to team up with the class slacker, the goodie-two-shoes, and a self-righteous bully. How supervisors know the exact lineup of terrible groupings, I may never know, but there's a reason nobody likes working on a group project.

Inevitably, someone's going to end up doing all of the work, someone's going to take credit for nothing, someone's going to torpedo the continued success of the group, and someone's going to be stuck as the unappreciated mediator–but as the lowly team mediator, isn't it your job to let everyone know when the group project is going in the wrong direction? Well, when you're considered an underling on a group project, sometimes it's nice to keep your mouth shut, watching the group implode from its own insolence for failing to include your expertise.

Recently, a Redditor posted his own cursed group project experience online, sharing a hilariously karmic outcome to a situation with a simple solution. As an assembly line worker, the original poster of this story was accustomed to being belittled and overlooked by his supervisor, but when he was blatantly disrespected for being thorough, he decided to get a taste of malicious compliance.

    turns out the product unsellable (which does happen rarely) like putting wrong filling in the muffin it ofc goes in the bin. Very rarely we get to take something home that is wrong, like a couple of times per year.

I was told to not worry about it and that the kitchen has a process and blah blah blah. Then he found the ticket and apologized :).
